Hello, I'm Anne

My Story
My life and work experiences are diverse. A mother of two beautiful teenage boys and greyhound Ellie, I enjoy the garden, arts, exploring farmers markets, searching for the perfect almond croissant and attempting sourdough creations with my partner. My career interests originated in medical research, evolving into a focus on people development within the healthcare industry, and an eventual transition into community services. My counselling and psychotherapy practice focuses on supporting individuals, families and couples through a diverse range of experiences, including early attachment trauma, work-life transitions, relationship and parenting issues. As well as private practice, I work as a child and family therapist, including relational trauma, post-separation parenting and parenting support.

Having completed a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling, I hold national registration as a Registered Practising Clinical Counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). Being a PACFA member I am subject to a wide range of professional and ethical requirements, and practice within the framework of the PACFA Code of Ethics. I participate in ongoing professional development and supervision as part of my own process of personal and professional reflection and growth.

I utilise an integrated and trauma informed approach to my psychotherapy and counselling, drawing on a range of theory to understand how to facilitate processes of change and growth including theory that addresses human development, personality and character, patterns of attachment, and contemporary psychodynamic theory.
